August 12 Update: Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood crossed $100m in its third weekend at the North American box office through Sony, becoming the filmmaker’s fourth release to do so.

The ode to Hollywood past starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie dropped 42% to deliver an $11.7m weekend haul and push the running total to $100.4m.

Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood dropped two slots to number five in North America and currently ranks third in Tarantino’s career, behind Django Unchained on $162.8m, Inglourious Basterds on $120.5m,
