Márcio D'Astrain was born on March 9, 1993 in Le Sentier, Switzerland and he it is one of the most promising stage/screenwriters of Portugal. When he was 5, he moved to Pombal, Portugal. He study on the semi-private school Instituto D. João V and it was there that he start writing and acting in plays. One was O Rei Lobisomem (2011) who was the most successful of the writer at the time. Then he went to the Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa to take Artistic Studies. Also joined the "GTL - Grupo de Teatro de Letras" as a writer/producer. Later he aged in film production Marginal Filmes with director José Carlos de Oliveira. In 2016 Márcio was part of the project "Tudo Vai Melhorar" which featured several appearances of Portuguese and international celebrities. Nowadays, Márcio D'Astrain is the host of the web series D'Astrain No Cinema (2018), with the total collaboration of Infinite Universe and Andrew Draw , when he talk about the premiere movies in Portugal and interview some people about the excitement to watch them. Márcio D'Astrain was considered one of the greatest and promising writers of our generation in Portugal. He received a prize for Best Play in the XV Theater Festival of Pombal for "O Rei Lobisomem" and honor by the IDJV Academy for his work and all the projects he did it in almost 5 years. The biggest inspirations of Márcio are Cher, Tim Burton, Johnny Depp, Dan Fogler, Nicholas Hoult Rob Marshall and Meryl Streep.
