Black Panther 2 May Not Shoot Until 2021 According to Martin Freeman

We may finally know when cameras will begin rolling on Black Panther 2. Given the success the first movie enjoyed, it's been a forgone conclusion that a sequel would be coming our way at some point down the line. It was officially confirmed by Marvel Studios last month during their San Diego Comic-Con presentation, but it won't be happening as part of Phase 4, which means we're going to have to wait a bit. With that in mind, star Martin Freeman now says they're planning to shoot the follow-up in 2021.

Martin Freeman, known for his work in The Hobbit franchise and Sherlock, alongside fellow McU star Benedict Cumberbatch, plays Everett Ross, a character we were first introduced to in Captain America: Civil War. Ross was then given a much bigger role in Black Panther. Martin recently confirmed he's going to return in the sequel and, even more recently, in a new interview,

First ‘Little Monsters’ Trailer Features Lupita Nyong’o as the Dream Zombie Apocalypse Savior

If you thought Jim Jarmusch had the market cornered on zombie horror comedies this year with The Dead Don't Die, think again. Arriving in November is another truly wild entry into the horror-comedy genre: Little Monsters, starring Lupita Nyong'o, Josh Gad, and Alexander England, and directed by Abe Forsythe. The first trailer for Little Monsters arrived this week after premiering at Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. The trailer features Nyong'o (in what looks like a refreshingly funny turn for the typically serious star) as the eternally optimistic elementary school teacher Miss Caroline, who is overseeing …

I Just Want to Be as Happy as Lupita Nyong'o Hearing Her Name in "Brown Skin Girl"

  • Popsugar
The internet has been in a collective frenzy since Beyoncé blessed us all with her new album The Lion King: The Gift on July 19, but one song from the project that really has people buzzing is "Brown Skin Girl." The four-minute track is an upbeat ode to black women and all of their beauty, so it's no wonder why it quickly became a favorite for fans all over the internet. That includes actress Lupita Nyong'o, who shared the cutest video of herself dancing to the song on Friday.

The song sees Beyoncé literally singing the praises of a handful of black women in Hollywood. Along with a nod to Naomi Campbell and Kelly Rowland, she gives a quick shoutout to Lupita herself. "Pose like a trophy when Naomis walks in/ She need an Oscar for that pretty dark skin/ Pretty like Lupita when the camera's close in/ Drip broke the

Does DC's Batgirl Movie Want Daisy Ridley in the Lead?

It looks like Warner Bros. is keeping their planned Batgirl flick on the move as today we have word that the powers that be behind the scenes are trying to snag Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker star Daisy Ridley as their Barbara Gordon. For those of you that might not know, this planned Batgirl motion picture has already had its fair share of drama behind the scenes even at such an infant stage.

Originally The Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron writer-director (and Buffy the Vampire Slayer creator) Joss Whedon was all set to write and direct a new version of the classic character. But then Whedon's sure-to-be tongue in cheek version of the project was canceled after the Dollhouse and Firefly creator "simply couldn't find the right story." From there, Warner Bros. quickly set a new screenwriter in place for the film

Lupita Nyong’o May Solidify Status as the 21st Century’s Great Scream Queen in ‘Little Monsters’
Neon and Hulu have released a new clip from their upcoming Australian zombie movie that should enshrine Lupita Nyong’o as the finest actor working in horror today. In “Little Monsters,” directed by Abe Forsythe, Nyong’o plays Miss Caroline, a kindergarten teacher taking her wee students on a field trip to a farm, where there’s suddenly a zombie outbreak. Instead of the kids petting a cow, Miss Caroline has to make certain that they don’t see zombies ravenously devouring the bovine.

“It’s like an R-rated Pixar movie,” the director, Abe Forsythe, said at the IndieWire Sundance Studio presented by Dropbox in January. In this clip, Miss Caroline has to adapt her early-childhood education skills to both ensure the survival of the tykes and make certain that they’re not psychologically scarred by the carnage around them. She tells them that all the weird-looking people around them are “it,

Lupita Nyong’o Reveals What White Walkers Have in Common With the Tethered From ‘Us’

Lupita Nyong’o Reveals What White Walkers Have in Common With the Tethered From ‘Us’
Like millions of other people, Lupita Nyong’o spent part of her Sunday thinking about “Game of Thrones.” Unlike most other fans of the HBO drama, however, she has some insights as to how the show’s White Walkers compared to the Tethered from “Us,” in which the Oscar winner stars as a both a mild-mannered mother of two and her own doppelgänger.

Nyong’o compared and contrasted the two different kinds of villains in a Twitter thread. Here’s what she came up with in terms of their similarities:

They come in silence but not in peace They won’t stop until they kill errrrrrrrrybody They wear block colors They have a signature weapon Their death stare does half the job Their leaders could use some edge tamer They could all use a drink of water and better dietary options

And then there are the differences:

He then handed over the keys to Rian Johnson, who wrote and directed The Last Jedi. There's no need to dig into all of that again,

Fan Bingbing to Go Back Before the Camera in Jessica Chastain’s ‘355’ (Exclusive)
Fan Bingbing is going back before the camera in Jessica Chastain’s “355,” the highly anticipated action film that cast the Chinese superstar just a few months before a tax-evasion scandal brought her career to a screeching halt.

Sources confirmed to Variety that “355” is set to begin shooting this year with its previously announced stars – Chastain, Fan, Lupita Nyong’o, Penelope Cruz and Marion Cotillard – and director Simon Kinberg. “The project is moving forward with the original cast and filmmaker, and a start date announcement with full details will be forthcoming,” a source close to the production said.

However, the film has lost the backing of China’s Huayi Brothers Media, raising questions about how it is being financed. “We are no longer involved with this project,” a Huayi spokesman told Variety this week, without further elaboration.

“355,” an all-female spy thriller produced through Chastain’s Freckle Films and introduced to foreign investors and distributors by FilmNation,

Jordan Peele's highly anticipated film Us is already causing a lot of conversation among fans. So much so that dancer Kendra "K.O" Oyesanya put together choreography based on the thriller's unsettling characters. On March 23, the Step Up: High Water actress shared a clip of her routine with Antwon Keith Collier, Rhyan Hill, and Payton Ali to Instagram.

The dancers became "The Tethered" and showed off their moves to the especially creepy "I Got 5 on It" remix from the film. While we may need to sleep with one eye open after watching the movie and this choreography, Oyesana and her crew can rest easy knowing their routine has Lupita Nyong'o and Peele's seal of approval. Both the actress and director reposted the video on Instagram with their own praise.

Us Ending Explained: Is a Sequel Possible?
Jordan Peele's Us is in theaters and we need to talk about that ending. And also touch on whether or not a sequel could happen down the line. This serves as Peele's sophomore directorial effort following his breakout hit Get Out, which earned him a Best Original Screenplay Oscar and did huge business at the box office. With Us, Peele has crafted a decidedly different movie and one that we're going to be talking about and dissecting for years to come. But for now, let's do our best to break down that ending.

Warning: massive spoilers ahead for Us. Seriously, those who haven't seen the movie would do well to turn back now. That out of the way, let's dig in, but with one big caveat. I will do my personal best to break this one down, but this is a very complex, layered movie. Jordan Peele really outdid
