Calculate Your Breakdown Accordingly: Here's When the Schitt's Creek Series Finale Will Air

  • Popsugar
Schitt's Creek is officially in its final season, and we're not ready to say goodbye to the Roses! All good things must come to an end - but when will that official ending be? Schitt's Creek has not yet made a formal announcement of its series finale date, but we think we've got a pretty good idea of when the beloved comedy will be wrapping things up.

The sixth and final season premiered on Jan. 7, airing one episode per week on PopTV in the Us and CBC in Canada. Just like the previous season, there will be a total of 14 episodes in season six. Assuming that there are no doubleheaders on the schedule, that would put the series finale on Tuesday, April 14. Some shows do multi-episode finales, using back-to-back episodes for extended finales, and if Schitt's Creek chooses to do that, then the finale would presumably air a week earlier,

Family members Dan, Eugene, and Sarah Levy, posed with their costars Catherine O'Hara, Annie Murphy, Emily Hampshire, Dustin Milligan, Jennifer Robertson, and Noah Reid, on the red carpet and appeared happy to be reunited a week after hitting up the Critics' Choice Awards.

Dan and Eugene helped to open up the show with a funny father-son bit, and while the cast didn't take home the award for best ensemble in a comedy series, they were in good spirits as they enjoyed the show together. Ahead, check out a few of our favorite pictures of the cast at the SAG Awards.

The trailer opens with O’Hara, Eugene Levy’s Johnny Rose and Emily Hampshire’s Stevie Budd standing in front of the infamous motel setting for the Canadian comedy, filming a commercial-within-the-show for their business.

“There is value in these motels,” Levy’s Johnny says. “My family and I have been staying in a motel for the past three years, and I wouldn’t trade our stay there for anything.”

No Cable? Here's When the Final Season of Schitt's Creek Will (Very Likely) Hit Netflix

  • Popsugar
We're only a couple months out from the TV premiere of Schitt's Creek's final season, but when will season six arrive on Netflix? The beloved sitcom took off exponentially thanks to its growing popularity on Netflix, but for fans who watch the comedy solely on streaming, they'll have to wait a little longer for that final batch of episodes.

While some shows have unpredictable streaming patterns, Schitt's Creek is as straightforward as it gets. For the past few years, the release dates have followed the same pattern. The episodes air weekly on Pop TV for American audiences beginning in January, and run for 13 or 14 weeks. There's about six months of lag time over the Summer, and then the season drops all at once on Netflix. Season five, for instance, landed on Netflix on Oct. 10 of this year. Given the repetitiveness of this pattern, it seems pretty safe to assume

Fox Television Stations Acquire Comedy ‘Schitt’s Creek’

  • Deadline
Fox Television Stations have nabbed the rights to Emmy-nominated comedy Schitt’s Creek, Pop TV’s highest-rated series, in a two-year deal with Lionsgate’s Debmar-Mercury. All seasons of Schitt’s Creek will begin airing in U.S. broadcast markets beginning in September 2020. The series returns for its sixth and final season on Pop TV and Canada’s CBC in January 2020. Its total episode count will be about 80 episodes, which is a syndicatable amount by today’s standards.

It is not very common for a cable series, especially a single-camera comedy, to be sold in broadcast syndication, especially one airing on a smaller channel like the CBS-owned Pop. But Schitt’s Creek has not been an ordinary series, increasing its ratings every season and growing its popularity beyond television throughout its run. That was recently taken to another gear with Schitt’s Creek’s launch on Netflix.

Lionsgate’s Debmar-Mercury acquired U.
