Vikings Season 6 Episode 1

“I no longer wish to be famous.”

Welcome back Vikings fans. The long wait has ended, and the final stage of Michael Hirst’s history inspired drama that began with a simple farmer and his wife so many years ago sets out to complete its tale. Noticeably light on action, “New Beginnings” follows two radically different brothers as Bjorn Ironside assumes control of Kattegat, and Ivar the Boneless meets his match in Russia. In the end, however, it appears the little village built and nurtured by Ragnar Lothbrok will, once again, become the focal point of the first half of the final season.

Followers of Vikings have had plenty of time now to come to terms with the fact that

‘Vikings’ Creator on Bringing Female Viewers to History and ‘Increasingly Emotional’ Final Episodes

  • Variety
‘Vikings’ Creator on Bringing Female Viewers to History and ‘Increasingly Emotional’ Final Episodes
When “Vikings” kicks off its sixth and final season on History, it does so in a blaze of glory. Not only has the series grown to include roughly 900 extras in its renowned battle scenes and given new voice to long-forgotten languages, but production has scaled several continents while also reaching more than 30 million total viewers as one of the top 10 cable dramas among all key demos.

Saying farewell to such a legacy — the legacy of Ragnar Lothbrok and his sons that creator Michael Hirst always set out to tell — has been an “incredibly emotional” journey to say the least, Hirst notes. When the series picks up it’s with Bjorn Ironside (Alexander Ludwig) on the throne in Kattegat, Ivar (Alex Høgh Andersen) in Russia where he meets his match in a new character named Prince Oleg (Danila Kozlovsky), and with Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) ready to hang up her shield after years of battle,

Bad Boys for Life Poster Has Will Smith and Martin Lawrence Ready to Ride or Die

Bad Boys for Life Poster Has Will Smith and Martin Lawrence Ready to Ride or Die
We have a brand new poster for Bad Boys for Life. Sony Pictures decided to drop this one-sheet as the release date for this one is creeping up fast. It's been more than 16 years since we last saw Will Smith and Martin Lawrence on screen together as Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett. They're finally reuniting for one last action-packed ride and, as this poster states, they're ready to ride together and die together, if it comes to that.

The poster sees the duo standing together, guns in hand, with some palm trees in the background lit up firey red. Mike and Marcus look to be all business here, with very grim looks on their faces, much like we saw in the latest Bad Boys For Life trailer. The first poster also came with the same tagline, but was a little more minimalistic. This one has more going on, but it

“Midway” Has Action But An Incredibly Cliched Story

World War II epics used to be a dime a dozen. Reliving the United States’ finest hours on the battlefield, filmmakers flocked to the conflict in order to tell tales of heroism. More recently, movies have largely eschewed this topic, unless a director had a more daring take to contribute. Ever since Saving Private Ryan nearly won Best Picture at the Academy Awards, the field of war movies have been shrinking. Now, it’s more the territory of a Dunkirk, where Christopher Nolan could experiment while in a familiar genre. Today brings us Midway, a Roland Emmerich production that is hardly revelatory and offers plenty of action, but little else. This flick is an old fashioned war epic, as mentioned above. For those who don’t know, this is centered on the Battle of Midway, which was the decisive skirmish in the Pacific Theater during World War II. In the

New Bad Boys For Life Trailer Teases One Last Hurrah For The Series

To say that we’ve been waiting a long, long time for Bad Boys 3 would be to deal in wild understatement.

It’s going on 16 years since audiences last glimpsed Will Smith and Martin Lawrence’s electric chemistry, leaving many to fear that 2003’s Bad Boys 2 really signaled the end of their buddy-cop shenanigans. But against all odds – delays, director dropouts… you name it – Bad Boys For Life has emerged blinking into the sunlight, ready to deliver a helping of cinematic nostalgia.

Set for release in January 2020, Sony has followed up on yesterday’s sneak peek with a truly explosive new preview of Bad Boys For Life, teasing fast cars, intense shootouts, and that signature energy between Smith and Lawrence’s detectives: Mike Lowery and Marcus Burnett. It’s not too much of a stretch to say that their chemistry is the glue that’s held this franchise together after all these years,

Smith & Lawrence in Fun Second Trailer for 'Bad Boys For Life' Sequel

"One last time?" "One last time." Sony Pictures has debuted the second official trailer for Bad Boys For Life, the long-awaited (unwanted?) sequel to the two Bad Boys movies (from 1995 / 2003). The first trailer dropped a few months ago, and didn't really impress anyone. This one doesn't exactly change things, but it is a better trailer. Reuniting the "bad boys" cops Will Smith and Martin Lawrence once again - Marcus Burnett is now a police inspector and Mike Lowery is in a midlife crisis. They unite again when an Albanian mercenary, whose brother they killed, promises them an important bonus. Also with Thomas Brag, Paola Núñez, Jacob Scipio, Joe Pantoliano, Alexander Ludwig, Charles Melton, Jamie Neumann, Massi Furlan, DJ Khaled, with Vanessa Hudgens. This feels so much like it's imitating Michael Bay's explosive style, but without any of his pizazz and technical prowess. I wish this looked better than it does.
