New Titans Bts Photo And Videos Offer Best Look Yet At Nightwing

For those of us who are fans of Dick Grayson, it sure does feel like we’ve been waiting an eternity for him to transition to the Nightwing persona in live action. This is nothing new in comics and animation, but no live action movie or TV show had yet to take the leap – until Titans, that is.

Once again, if the movies won’t do it, DC TV sure as hell will. With the Nightwing film being in developmental limbo, the producers of Titans picked up the ball and ran with it, so to speak. But hey, this does make sense because Dick is no longer Robin on the series, and there’s no other direction for him to go.

It was only days ago when we saw a set photo confirming Dick’s evolution, but this time around we can share set videos that’ve been circulating around Instagram showing Nightwing in action.

Titans Set Pic Reveals First Look At Brenton Thwaites In Nightwing Costume

Ever since the start of Titans, fans have lauded the gritty, realistic take on the teen superhero team that had previously become known as something of a comedy group thanks to their earlier, sillier cartoon adaptations. One thing that’s remained consistent across all the different versions though is the focus on Dick Grayson, played by Brenton Thwaites, as the leader of the group. And according to leaked photos from the set of the second season of the show, we’ll soon get to see Grayson in his first-ever live-action Nightwing costume.

The new superhero suit was first confirmed when cast member Minka Kelly accidentally posted a video clip on Twitter with Thwaites in full Nightwing gear standing in the background. Following that, a photo from the set was leaked online on the Titans Reddit forum by u/Canadian_Dracula:

Minka Kelly May’ve Revealed Nightwing Costume For Titans Season 2

One of the biggest questions of Titans season 2 is when will Brenton ThwaitesDick Grayson assume his identity as Nightwing? The persona’s been teased in the opening episodes of the season through Grayson retiring as Robin to allow Jason Todd to take center stage as the character. We were also told in August by our sources that Grayson will officially become Nightwing in season 2, and that information now seems to be confirmed in a behind-the-scenes clip from Minka Kelly where we glimpse his costume.

The clip was shared by Titans Brasil and shows Kelly recording herself and some of the other cast leaving the set due to rain. In the footage, which you can see below, we briefly glimpse Thwaites behind her. Although he’s wearing a jacket, it does look like he’s in a domino mask and a new costume. Given where Titans should be at the moment with the shooting schedule,

Titans Season 2 Episode 2 Review: Rose

Titans season 2 employs a time jump for a second episode that feels more like a season premiere.

Titans Season 2 Episode 2

Picking up three months after “Trigon,” the second episode of Titans Season 2, “Rose,” is a tight story that sets up new mysteries, and introduces fresh threats – making it feel more like a premiere than last week’s installment.

Straightaway, it’s worth mentioning how the action has benefited by jumping forward a few months. The team is in training, and while there remains tension, cohesion is setting in. Teagan Croft appears more settled as Rachel, and as a result, the character is more likable – even though we do see the darkness that continues to haunt her. Ryan Potter’s Gar and Curran Walters’ Jason work as squabbling teammates, and their sparring scene is fun, even if Gar is the weaker link at the moment.

Movie Review – Night Hunter (2019)

Night Hunter, 2019.

Written and Directed by David Raymond.

Starring Henry Cavill, Ben Kingsley, Alexandra Daddario, Stanley Tucci, Minka Kelly, Nathan Fillion, Carlyn Burchell, Eliana Jones, Brendan Fletcher, Mpho Koaho, Emma Tremblay, Sara Thompson, Daniela Lavender, and Beverly Ndukwu.

Synopsis:

A weathered Lieutenant, his police force, and a local vigilante are all caught up in a dangerous scheme involving a recently arrested, troubled man who’s linked to years of female abductions and murders.

Night Hunter is a special dumpster fire that upon watching it, one has absolutely no clue what attracted any of its big celebrity names to the project. If I had to guess, I would say nothing more than the possibility of a worthwhile dialogue coming from a modern-day serial kidnapper/rapist of women narrative releasing during the current political landscape. There’s even a scene early on where Henry Cavill’s detective Marshall lectures his teenage daughter

‘Night Hunter’ Review: Dir. David Raymond (2019)

Night Hunter review: A rather starry cast, including Henry Cavill, Stanley Tucci and Sir Ben Kingsley, must work together to bring down a man responsible for the kidnapping of a vast number of women, in David Raymond’s first time feature film.

Signature Entertainment

Marshall (Henry Cavill) is a Lieutenant in the police force trying to keep his family safe. After a rather frank conversation with his daughter about internet safety, he finds himself investigating a local vigilante (Sir Ben Kingsley) working with a young woman to entrap sexual predators and stop them before they hurt anyone. One of these stings leads both men to the troubled Simon (Brendan Fletcher), a young man who has been kidnapping and abusing women for years. Along with the help of Profiler Rachel (Alex Daddario), they must work out the full extent of Simon’s crimes, unearthing some horrifying truths along the way.

Director David Raymond Talks Debut Feature ‘Night Hunter’

Night Hunter is a new crime thriller that arrives in UK cinemas on Friday 16th September via Signature Entertainment. The film follows a police force and a local vigilante as they become caught-up in a dangerous scheme involving a recently arrested troubled man who is linked to years of female abductions and murders. It also has a rather impressive cast including Henry Cavill, Alexandra Daddario, Stanley Tucci, Brendan Fletcher, and Sir Ben Kingsley. It’s a very high pedigree of acting prowess, yet the film is written and directed by David Raymond; the film is his first feature. Ahead of the release we sat down with Raymond to find out how he manged to entice such well known names to a project from a fledgling filmmaker, researching police work, and shifting from politics to Hollywood.

You have a degree in politics, how do you go from that into film-making?

I never studied film.

Titans Season 2 Episode 1 Review: Trigon

Titans season 2 launches into action with what would have served as an excellent season 1 finale.

This Titans review contains spoilers.

Titans Season 2 Episode 1

At the end of the Titans season 1, we saw a dreamscape version of a murderous Batman while Trigon entered into the realm of man, and began his plan to destroy all creation — and things felt a little jumbled. However, the Titans season 2 premiere re-shuffles an already pretty good show, and resets it with a promising new beginning.

The premiere - titled “Trigon” even though he feels like an afterthought — picks up right at the end of the first season finale. Rachel (Teagan Croft) has brought her demon dad to earth, and Dick is in his dark place (the one where he kills Batman). Hawk and a healed Dove arrive with Jason Todd (Curran Walters) because he was needed for some reason that isn’t quite cleared up.
