Netflix’s feature film expansion of Zach Galifianakis’ web series Between Two Ferns delivers lots of laughs and famous faces.

“I’ve got three kids and a wife. What have you got besides two ferns?”

Over the years, Zach Galifianakis' wonderfully hilarious Between Two Ferns web series has increased its scope in terms of the profile of its guests, grabbing the likes of Jerry Seinfeld and Barack Obama. Now the series increases its goals in terms of turning a five-minute talk show web series into a feature length narrative film. Adding a plot or backstory to Between Two Fernsmay seem incredibly unnecessary or a reason for concern, but rest assured, adding a real sense of story, expanding the sandbox of this universe, and the pathos of Zach’s character is maybe the best thing the property has ever done.

Since the scope and length of Between Two

It’s Animated and It’s Funny. Does That Combination Unfairly Make ‘BoJack Horseman’ A Dark Horse for the Emmys?

Netflix hosted a raucous Emmys Fyc screening and panel for critically-beloved animated series “BoJack Horseman” on April 22 and while the panel itself was as colorful and irreverent as the show, with stars Aaron Paul and Paul F. Tompkins, as well as supervising director Mike Hollingsworth, production designer Lisa Hanawalt, and creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg, it wasn’t until after the event that the mood grew more contemplative.

Currently in production on its sixth season, “BoJack Horseman,” about a depressive, alcoholic horseman struggling to make his way in a lightly-fictionalized version of Hollywood inhabited by humans and humanoid animals alike, is beginning to draw attention within the industry itself, with Will Arnett’s win for voicing BoJack and the show’s win for Best General Audience Animated Television at the 46th Annual Annie Awards in February.

“I didn’t think we would ever crack through at the Annies,” Bob-Waksberg said in a

‘You’re The Worst’ Final Season Review: A Fitting End To A Fitful Love Story

When You’re the Worst began in the summer of 2014 with smug British writer Jimmy Shive-Overly and destructive publicist Gretchen Cutler hooking up at his ex-girlfriend’s wedding, neither the relationship nor the show seemed built for the long haul. Jimmy and Gretchen were — as both humans and TV protagonists — unfathomably shallow, mean and emotionally stunted. Neither of them was looking for much more than a good time. And in those early days,You’re the Worst didn’t quite have a handle on these two and their dysfunctional romance.

‘Venture Bros’ Finale Changes Everything Between Rusty and the Monarch
(Note: This post contains spoilers for “The Venture Bros.” Season 7 finale from Oct. 7.)

In the Season 7 finale, “The Venture Bros.” finally — finally — confirmed something the show has been slowly teasing literally for years: There is a familial relationship between protagonist Doc “Rusty” Venture (James Urbaniak) and The Monarch (Christopher McCulloch), the supervillain who hates him. And more importantly, now they both know it.

Will “The Venture Bros.” once again refer to more than just Rusty’s sons, Hank and Dean? Sure looks like it. And that has huge implications for Season 8.

Holy crap, everyone.
