M | Action, Adventure, Fantasy
Set in 431 BC during the Pelopenesian War, play as either a male or female mercenary as you embark on your own epic odyssey to become a legendary Spartan hero in a world where every choice matters.
This game is a dream for fans of Ancient Greece, while not perfect it delivers a truly EPIC RPG adventure, Monsters can be found in the game but are local legends which need discovering so not overused. Both the music and graphics are beautiful. The game hides many Greek tales within quests and side missions. It's only weakness's is its slow to start, some side missions are repetitive and the game is overwhelmingly massive. I have easily sunk over 100 hours in this, with no end in sight. Favourite moment - Finding the Cyclops on "The bay of nobody" and discovering Medusa's lair gave me chills.
28. The Rise of the Argonauts (2008 Video Game)
Jason, a Greek king set out for the quest to seek the Golden Fleece to bring back his wife Alceme from death.
With a little patience you can find an enjoyable action adventure, The game starts out very basic and slowly uncovers what it has to offer, the simple combat becomes very in depth, switching weapons in real time in the middle of a battle to defeat some foes (I'm looking at you Achilles). While the adventuring isn't open world the story and variation makes up for it. A great twist on the Argonauts adventure, seen as a poor mans God of War but I prefer the combat here. Favourite moment - Defeating Achilles after so many attempts gave me a warm glow inside.
29. Warriors: Legends of Troy (2011 Video Game)
Sangue,vendetta, furia.. Nothing else.. leggend
Along the same lines of Dynasty warriors, repetitive but fun, kill a few 100 people, story moves along, kill a few 100 more. I found it fun in short bursts as I wanted to see the story though. Favourite moment - The beach attack on the first level shows off it's epic battle scale.
30. Clash of the Titans (2010 Video Game)
Action, Adventure, History
Hades has unleashed his minions and you must conquer all or be conquered, in this epic war of the gods. Relive the adventures of Perseus as you battle through a vast mythical underworld with over 100 different enemies.
I really love the title screen, as for the game it's a very basic hack and slash though levels game. nothing bad nothing great, while the 2010 movie is worth a watch this is skippable. Favourite moment - Some of the boss fights mix it up a bit.
31. Titan Quest (2006 Video Game)
T | Action, Adventure, Fantasy
Titan Quest follows a player-created protagonist as they navigate Ancient Greece, Egypt and China on a quest to defeat the Titans after they escape from their ancient prison.

32. The Battle of Olympus (1988 Video Game)
God of the Underworld Hades has kidnapped Eurydice. Only Orpheus can to rescue her girlfriend in an epic odyssey along the entire Ancient Greece.
An old NES and Gameboy game, side scrolling non-linear action adventure (similar to Zelda 2), quite a tough challenge. A spiritual successor is available on Steam under the name "Prometheus the fire thief" Favourite moment - I never finished the game but I really like the title music.
33. Age of Mythology (2002 Video Game)
Action, Adventure, Fantasy
Arkantos, the heroic admiral of Atlantis, looking for a meaning and a cause of a series menacing omens, and accidentally intervenes in a dark plan of titans' preparing for an uprising against a gods.
From the age of empires series, an enjoyable real time strategy game with enough variety in missions to keep you going. Favourite moment - using the titans addon pack and first time using them to crush your foe.
34. God of War III (2010 Video Game)
M | Action, Adventure, Drama
Armed with his deadly double-chained blades, Kratos must take on Greek mythology's darkest creatures to destroy Olympus and the mighty Zeus himself.
God of War series up till the 2018 game (which is Norse) is based on Greek Mythology. it's a visceral and visual hack and slash action game that generally focuses on Kratos's rage and fight against mount Olympus. Epic boss fights and story are worth watching on YouTube even if you don't plan on playing it. Favourite moment - The cinematic boss fights.

It was intended to be a massive multiplayer online game, however that was scraped and the game was released as a single player, gameplay wise it plays like most MMO's, click on what you want to attack, gain and use skills and better equipment. It's been left in a dull state, can't really recommend it. Favourite moment - Little stands out, but it often appears in the Steam sale for a quid or less.
36. Herc's Adventures (1997 Video Game)
Herc (Hercules), Atlanta (Atalanta), or Jason are on a quest to defeat Hades and save the goddess of nature.
Came out on the PlayStation 1, I had no idea this existed till I found out it's a spiritual successor to "Zombies ate my neighbours" and "Ghoul Patrol", the same top down action gameplay, it's a collectors item, demanding a high price on Ebay.
