Even though it's not exclusively about the realtionship between father and the son, the fact that Tarkovsky dedicated this movie to his son while lying on his deathbed shines trough every frame of the picture.

Actually kinda disappointing. Even though there is some sort of character arc involving both father and son, the characters and their relation are poorly depicted.

This one is tricky, because technically there is no "son" character in this movie, yet there is a strong presence of his menace in the air. This however proves how flexible you can be when approaching the theme of such relationship.

This one is not really a relationship study, due to it's surreal approach, but there is certainly a lot going on with the theme of legacy and successing one's spirit.
