Votes: 706,537 | Gross: $678.82M
Awesome setup to “Endgame”, Infinity War is non stop action CBM that fits every hero in the MCU together well with quippy one-liners, incredible CGI action and a humanised, complex and compelling villain in Thanos to contend with. The ending is subversive and epic and Infinity War manages to weave every superhero together in a vast amount of locations while maintaining the core narrative and plot of stopping Thanos from acquiring all 6 Infinity Stones,

Star Wars: The Last Jedi continues the trilogy and the new characters arches in an exciting, subversive and epic way. The hate for this movie is very surprising. Luke Skywalker returns and adds a level of maturity and nostalgia from previous Star Wars movies. The story is mostly centred around his and Rey's relationship and seeing his characters continuation and how he is sewn into Kylo Rens and his parents Han and Leia's stories after Return of the Jedi is very engaging and brings with it sympathy and an extra layer of hatred and backstory for Ren and Luke. This movie delves very deep into the Force which is interesting to see what actually makes a Jedi a Jedi. Thankfully, Snoke was killed off. This story no longer required him and is much more focused and emotional with the two human leads, Rey and Kylo's dynamic.
The only major flaw with the movie is the unnecessary inclusion of Rose and mega-bitch Admiral Holdo. Her and Finn's partnership was bearable but the movie really detoured from the much more interesting and engaging storyline with Rey and Luke. It all slowed down and felt too low-key. Roses lines about torture were very forced and just came out of nowhere. I'm trying to watch a Star Wars movie here. Mega-bitch Holdo wasn't needed and her design and her line delivery was very frustrating. She didn't tell anyone the plan and had nothing to her so when she sacrificed it didn't have the emotional weight that other characters could have had.
The actors all do a terrific job with a great script, particularly Mark Hamill in his final living performance as Luke Skywalker. This movie is a perfect continuation, it leaves room for growth but also gave me enough of them here. The greatest action of any Star Wars movie is present here and is utilised brilliantly with a great score to give Luke a fitting sendoff in truly epic style. It is epic, subversive and actually made me feel for the characters. The cinematography is a massive step up and the Last Jedi uses it brilliantly to explore its themes much more deeply than previous instalments. This is a much more personal Star Wars adventure that explores new areas of the Star Wars universe while expanding the new heroes and villains stories and for the most part being an engaging, beautiful continuation of the newest Star Wars trilogy.

16. Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens (2015)
PG-13 | 138 min | Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi
Three decades after the Empire's defeat, a new threat arises in the militant First Order. Defected stormtrooper Finn and the scavenger Rey are caught up in the Resistance's search for the missing Luke Skywalker.
Votes: 794,060 | Gross: $936.66M
Star Wars: The Force Awakens sets up a new trilogy with some compelling new characters and the Star Wars formula of good v evil. Rey and Finn are well fleshed out and their friendship is believable. Po doesn't have much too him but is likeable enough. Although the cinematography pales in comparison to The Last Jedi, the script and character interactions make up for it. Awesome to see Star Wars back, although the formula was a bit overused through too many cuts to the good and the bad sides at strange times. The Last Jedi explores the characters much more but this is a worthy setup that utilises nostalgia through old characters to create an exciting, fast-paced, classic Star Wars story.

Votes: 185,722 | Gross: $135.37M
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood showcases 1969 Hollywood through actor Rick Dalton and his stuntman and best friend Cliff Booth. In the movie, they are split up and Rick must overcome the fear that he is a washed-up actor and succeeds by producing a terrific performance and he gets rid of his demons. Cliff investigates a group of hippies and whether they are mistreating George, the landowner and a former friend of his. The pair meet up again and travel to Italy and once back home the infamous "Manson family murders" take place but contrary to history, Rick and Cliff are attacked by the same group of hippies but they overpower them hilariously. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is a great blend of humour, terrific acting, incredible cinematography, an awesome script that showcases the characters personalities well and likeable characters but suffers a bit from not having a plot and long scenes meaning I found myself waiting for something to happen sometimes.

PG-13 | 129 min | Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi
Following the events of Avengers: Endgame (2019), Spider-Man must step up to take on new threats in a world that has changed forever.
Votes: 170,925 | Gross: $388.53M
Spider- Man: Far from Home continues Peter Parkers arch and story in the MCU in a refreshing, light and comedic way. The events of Endgame are not handled well at the beginning due to too many jokes and the "teenage love" was too excessive between Ned and Betty. The heart of the movie is with Peter Parker and his former mentor, Tony Stark and is handled much more seriously and seems what would actually happen. This movie takes Spiderman into unfamiliar places and with Mysterio, played by Jake Gyllenhaal, he finds a new father figure. Although it was obvious he was going to become the villain, Gyllenhaal does a great job at making us care about his character. Peter Parkers and MJ's relationship does come out of nowhere but she is a likeable enough character although she seems very different from Homecoming. Mysterio's plan is something that we haven't seen in the MCU and tied in to previous movies very smartly. The action in this movie is well choreographed, unique and utilisers the hero's and villains powers in a creative and engaging way. One particular illusion that Mysterio uses from his previous Stark tech is insane using great CGI, taking so many unexpected turns, while taking us through Spiderman's mental state during the battle. The final battle is a great ending due to Spiderman being able to best Mysterio through using his Spidersense, classic Spidey, and had the audience wondering what was an illusion and what wasn't.
