1. Lost (2004–2010)
TV-14 | 44 min | Adventure, Drama, Fantasy
The survivors of a plane crash are forced to work together in order to survive on a seemingly deserted tropical island.
This has to be one of the greatest, breathtaking, amazing TV experiences I ever had.
The seasons get better and better (I only think season 3 was a bit too long), and the plot of season 5 was just mindblowing.
I guess I never watched any tv show where one single episode (in this case the season 5 finale) could change literally EVERYTHING on the show.
I won't say any more. Just go and watch this amazing show.
2. The Walking Dead (2010– )
TV-MA | 44 min | Drama, Horror, Thriller
Sheriff Deputy Rick Grimes wakes up from a coma to learn the world is in ruins, and must lead a group of survivors to stay alive.
I initially gave this series a 10/10. The first 2 seasons were fantastic. It shows what other zombie shows/movies don't: the vulnerability of human against predators (zombies), the despair and sadness, the changes that we see in ourselves, the survival instinct and the power of fellowship.
Sadly as the seasons went on, this survival/kill or be killed that was present in the the first seasons just disappeared. The story is repeating itself, the characters are boring (the good ones die along the seasons), and today there is not much to make want to keep watching. Eve though I still do because I have to stop a series without finishing it.
But I really hope this series come to an end soon.
3. Game of Thrones (2011–2019)
TV-MA | 57 min | Action, Adventure, Drama
Nine noble families fight for control over the mythical lands of Westeros, while an ancient enemy returns after being dormant for thousands of years.
An overrated series. Yes, I know.
I like Game of Thrones, I just don't love it. The dialogues are great, the story is good (I never get bored), but somehow I don't follow the hype.
Don't get me wrong: this is one of the greatest TV shows ever made! But I guess some people just like it more than others.
