The Film Society of Sir George Williams College (which eventually became Concordia University) in Montreal had free movie screenings every Sunday evening for a number of years in the sixties. I went every week and I can't imagine a better educatiion in the art and history of world cinema than this. Here are just a few of the films I saw – the ones I remember all these years later.
