Most prolific years, no surprises there, 1971 and 1972 with a massive 27 films each in the poll.
Most prolific Director was Dario Argento with 14 films ahead of Umberto Lenzi on 10.
THE ORLOKS…THE HORROR BOARD OSCARS
Between October 2006 and May 2007 the horror board has voted on its favorite films within the genre for each year. A top 10 films for each year was then produced, as much fun as it was to see your favourites become the winning film for a given year, for me personally the whole experience was also used as a way to get great recommendations for films that otherwise go unmentioned and I can safely say that in this regard my expectations have been more than met. There have been a few very lean periods in horror history where very few films were made and in such cases the years were grouped together for obvious reasons. Below are the results for each year or group of years and also the entire listings of winners for each year. I hope you too can garner some good recommendations from the lists provided. As always a big thanks to all those who participated in this lengthy project and made it a success ,I’ve enjoyed the compiling and the chats immensely
