Excellent host, good show
16 October 2017 | by (France) – See all my reviews

Well, well, well. I don't know if the other reviewers have seen the same SNL episode as me but there was some Weinstein stuff in this one. Not necessarily in form of humour. In fact, it was a very severe and unambiguous condemnation of the producer... The opening speech of Kumail Nanjiani was courageous, brilliant and really funny. One of the best since hosts like Louis CK, Dave Chapelle or the lovely Betty White. The sketches? Well, some are good. I liked the clown very much, it was very 'cutting' ;)) Otherwise, I come from the country of real free expression with shows like Nulle Part Ailleurs, Groland or Charlie Hebdo etc. So, the SNL sketches, I find them very kind and inoffensive... But I see a lot of work back them and I must admit that I don't see the shows with subtitles, so it is possible that I miss a bit of the humour. The Weekend Updates are, in my opinion, excellent and sharp as they should be since Colin Jost and Michael Che have become hosts. Pink was great too. I love that girl. I give it a 10 for all the work, effort and talent and to balance the incomprehensible other reviews written by (cough, cough) 'critics'...
