Authentic
22 January 2018 | by See all my reviews

I could see why some viewers won't like the show for its brutal authenticity. But the story this show is trying to tell is highlighting specific lives of people who live in neighborhoods where violence is a common place thing. The show is set on the West Side of Chicago, (which somehow became synonymous with the South Side because that's all the media ever associates violence in the city of being) and it details the lives of people surrounding a murder in the community. I've seen the first two episodes and so far the show Is still building its foundation. So it's hard to judge the show this early in its run. Will continue to watch it to see where it goes.
