It seems to me the reviewers giving this movie a poor rating don't even care for the franchise. Like a lot of James Wan movies there is a back story that ties in incredibly well to the other movies. My favorite is the second one and this is my second favorite in terms of story and fear factor so that will hopefully be helpful to those who are trying to decide on seeing it or not.
