Storyline

Memory loss, extreme paranoia, rapid aging, encroaching psychosis, as well as aphasia and metamorphopsia (distorted speech and vision). With the first inoculation wearing off, these become Brian's experiences as, privately hurtling towards pain and madness, he helps Rebecca look into her father's NZT-related past (having shared the stolen files with her). With Rebecca unexpectedly pulled away into an FBI war game, the side-effects worsen, with the next inoculation withheld till Brian carries out a new assignment: discredit Rebecca. Quotes

Jarrod Sands: You feel some loyalty to this woman. That's fine... for now. In a day - two days? - when it feels like your brain is on fire, you'll be willing to skin Rebecca Harris alive for that shot. Let's not have it come to that, hey?

Too Easy
16 November 2015 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

"Everything was a test," says Senator Eddie Morra in the end, all smiling. Nonetheless, even if it would have been for real, almost everything Brian has been through came to a solution; Brian has always found the easy way out.

How competent are those FBI people after all? Seeing Brian look like a mummy, with terrible dark rings around his eyes and so on that one barely recognizes him is one thing and still they give him the pill? Instead they keep asking him if he's alright. What a great question, especially is today's quick and superficial world. Lie is one precious tool, both for Brian and Rebecca. Yes, her supervisors know she cheated the system. And what are they doing about it? She gets promoted, how unsurprising.

Brian is going to be alright now for a couple of months and it looks like the show will go back to dealing with its occasional crime-per-episode technique. One fact has changed, though. We still don't know who invented NZT-48 but we know the inventor is a mysterious person that likes to be in control. That is still intriguing, at least for now.
