I am big fan of H. G. Wells, mainly of his novel The Time Machine. The adventures of this book are amazing. However, this TV Series needs to explore more the concept of time travel. On the book there was a very interesting explanation about how the time travel is possible, the author explained about the fourth dimension, how we are constantly traveling on time when we think about the past events This explanation made us believe that travel on time is really possible. While on the TV Series this explanation is summarized in a few simplistic sentences. Besides, there are few long time travels, and when it happens it does not shows the transformation in the environment such as the aging of the objects around. I think these details would make it more plausible.
By now, I have just watched a romantic story between H. G Wells and his girlfriend, while they chase a ripper. This plot is not interesting. It 's like a Mexican soap opera of the XXI. This TV Series talks little about time travel and too much about the century XXI. The whole story is about chasing a man in the present moment. Where are the adventures of travel on time, meet different civilizations or our own civilization on higher stage of evolution? Will we see the past or the destiny of humankind? I hope so. Cause after all, what is the point of a Time Travel TV Series which does not talk about time travel.
