Trivia

General Santa Anna was captured wearing the clothing of an ordinary foot soldier. His Texian captors didn't know who they had until they brought him back to the battle site and put him in an enclosure with hundreds of other Mexican prisoners. These prisoners and his officers gave him away when they recognized him and started saluting him. That's when Houston knew he had captured the Napoleon of the West. See more »
