A brilliant episode from the first series of 'The Office'

David is annoyed when Donna comes in late for work. Donna is staying with David and what has really annoyed him is her lack of respect. She never came home last night, the reason, she was having sex with Ricky who works in the office. Despite having big problems where redundancies are going to be a certainty, David advertises for a secretary. Two people come for an interview, Karen Roper and Stuart Foot. David obviously fancies Karen, when he takes photographs of these two interviewees for archive reasons, he spends ages getting Karen's right and doesn't even bother looking when taking Stuart's photograph. Stuart's interview is over very quick, Karen's takes ages where David gives her the job there and then. At reception, David tries to show off in front of Karen by playing with a football, where he accidentally gives her a black-eye. The infamous Chris Finch comes in the office, David and the rest of the staff are going to a Wednesday night disco. In the office, Chris tells the story of a threesome he had with two women, one of the women a friend of his mates. Chris says 'The man whose bird I did, I bumped into him the next day and he said he was tired. I thought Yeah, all you had was a pot noodle and a w*nk mate' The disco is one mad night. Chris gets off with more stunning blonds, David gets a smack in the face of a woman for being very derogatory to her and Gareth ends up going home with two swingers in a Motor-bike and Side Car. Guess what, Gareth is in the side car.

A great episode that had so many brilliant moments. 'The Office' for me is one of the few series that peaked in the opening series, with this episode being the best of the great opening series.

Best Bit: David accidentally giving Karen a black-eye Second Best Bit: Gareth's face when he is in the side-car.
