I've got nothing wrong with Dreamworks, but is their strategy: "When it doubt, put it in slo-mo?

I counted two separate instances of slow motion just in the trailer for Kung Fu Panda, and at least a few instances of it in Horton Hears a Who.

Are they just getting lazy?
