Did anyone else notice the similarities between the way of life of the medieval Mongols and the Native Americans?

The temporary camps built to follow the herds [of yaks, I guess]? Looked like a real hunter-gatherer society. With the element of fierce warrior in there, of course.

Some of the yurts even looked like tepees, and there were shamans.
