The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this new feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes .

Sex & Nudity

The "strong sexual content" seen in the rating of the movie probably derives from its use of sexual references, although there is one main sexual scene (albeit one that isn't too graphic):

A man in a porn theater makes many obscene noises (as if he is masturbating). He then turns around and is holding a black dildo (seemingly as a joke). During this scene, you can hear moaning from the porn film that is playing, and a quick glance at the screen very briefly shows exposed breasts as girls rub one another.

Some sexual references.

A man and a woman undress and begin kissing passionately (no nudity is seen); It is implied that they have sex.

Violence & Gore

Strong brutal, bloody violence.

Most of the main characters are shot in shocking, suprising, and brutal ways. Mainly, they are shot in the head, and and a splash of blood flies out the other side.

Character is thrown off the roof of a building and falls on the ground below with graphic blood splatter.

Character's broken arm is beaten with a shoe.

Character beats up two men. He first stomps on the face of one then hits him repeatedly in the face with the end of a hat stand.

Character smashes a glass on the head of another.

Character appears from a room covered in blood and disoriented.

Character has a severed hand in a plastic bag.

Some photographs of bloody dead bodies.

Some characters are violently beaten with blood.

Profanity

237 F-words and its derivatives, 6 obscene hand gestures, 16 sexual references, 23 scatological terms, 32 anatomical terms, 5 mild obscenities, 3 derogatory terms for Italians, 3 derogatory terms for African-Americans, 1 derogatory term for Irish people, 1 derogatory term for Chinese people, 3 derogatory terms for homosexuals, 4 religious profanities, 10 religious exclamations

A man throws a handful of cocaine into a room and watches as a woman presumably snorts it (we do not see her) and he tells her, "Don't come up until you are numb." We see drug paraphernalia on a coffee table (a syringe, spoon and a rubber strap) and a man says he's "high." A man tests a bag of cocaine by tasting it. Two priests and a nun are shown drinking beer with their meal and people are shown drinking alcohol in many scenes throughout the movie. Two men smoke cigarettes and drink beer, a woman smokes while using an oxygen canister, and people are shown smoking cigarettes in many scenes throughout the movie. A man takes prescription drugs (Valium) in several scenes.

The whole film has the undertone of violence.

Many people are threatened with violence.

Main character is constantly thrown into situations that force him to commit crimes and attack people.
