Storyline

Air Force Lt. Col. John Burton was assigned to evaluate the usefulness of the Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicle, an Army troop carrier/scout vehicle that, in its final redesign, was effectively a deathtrap for its occupants. Burton keeps trying to execute a proper live-fire armor test on it but is constantly subverted by his temporary commanding officer, Army Maj. Gen. Partridge, in order to get it under construction and in the field. Written by Jeff Cross <blackjac_1998@yahoo.com>

Goofs

COL Bach, despite being an Ordnance officer with no combat patch, wears a Combat Infantry Badge. While he could have been an infantryman earlier in his career, he couldn't have earned the CIB without also earning a combat patch. COL Smith also has a CIB despire being an officer in the Adjutant General's corps. Additionally, the generals on the board have CIBs but no combat patches, a faux pas no infantryman would ever commit, especially one with a CIB second award like General Bob. See more »

Major General Partridge: Tell Major Sayers I'm busy.
Soldier: But, sir, he told me to tell you that the little prick ordered tests on the Bradley.
Major General Partridge: What? I'll have his ass in a sling so fast...
Soldier: Whose ass, sir, Major Sayers or the little prick?

Scary but true
26 July 2004 | by (california, USA) – See all my reviews

I find it interesting that this movie is classified as a comedy, granted some of the procedures that Col. Burton is forced to go through are comical. What i find disturbing is this is based on the real true to life development of the bradley fighting vehicle. Not only was it produced at great cost (over 13 billion taxpayer dollars) but after spending that much money it was an unsafe deathtrap for anyone riding in it, unfortunately it was a troop carrier. thankfully we did not have any conflicts requiring the use of the vehicle until most of the defects were fixed. also disturbing is the fact that every officer involved in the development of the bradley was promoted and went on to lucrative defense contracting positions while Col. Burton was forced to leave the Air Force.
