Trivia

For the scene where the two fishermen are attacked in their boat, special effects man Matt Hundley, was chosen to be the anchor in the water, with weights tied to his feet, to hold the boat steady. Matt informed everyone he couldn't swim, but he was chosen to do it anyway. See more »

Goofs

When an animal increases in size, its weight increases by the cube of the increase, while surface area only increases by the square. That means the mutant mosquitoes would be trapped on the ground, helpless. Their legs would not support them, and their wings would not let them fly. See more »

Good special effects.
14 October 2000 | by See all my reviews

A group of people battle against giant mosquitos. The acting could have been much better. The special effects were superb. Sometimes I wondered how they got those giant mosquitos to look so real. This movie is like a mosquito version of Hitchcock's The Birds except the mosquitos fly in a smaller group.
