Storyline

The Kingdom is the most technologically advanced hospital in Denmark, a gleaming bastion of medical science. A rash of uncanny occurrences, however, begins to weaken the staff's faith in science--a phantom ambulance pulls in every night, but disappears; voices echo in the elevator shaft; and a pregnant doctor's fetus seems to be developing much faster than is natural. At the goading of a spiritualist patient, some employees work to let supernatural forces rest. Written by James Meek <james@oz.net>

User Reviews

A horror, a comedy, a romance and perfect from any point of view.
10 August 2002 | by (Israel, Beer-Sheva) – See all my reviews

I never gave a score of 10 to a movie before. However, Riget (or "The kingdom" as I saw it) is the most amazing piece of art I saw.

The camera work is the most amazing I ever saw. You get into the right mood just by seeing the first pictures.

The characters are real, unique and detailed.

The comedy moments are funny and the horror is creepy, couldn't expect more from the movie. Holywood with its budget should learn a few things.
