I don't like the way they ended this film, because it turned it into a cheesy Love Conquers All story. A more fitting ending would have been Tommy choosing to leave his friend and stay in brigadoon and that's where it would end. That would cut out the whole city scene which is really pointless to begin with because, really, what does it have to do with Brigadoon? Nothing. It has to do with Tommy, but I think having Tommy dissipear with the town would have been nice enough because he stays with his love, but then it would be tragic because he left his friend and he would never see his world again. Anyone agree?
