Specialists say, that "Brigadoon" belongs to the best Loewe/Lerner-musicals. If you have listened to this album, you will agree with them.
The album includes all of the songs from the music, remastered from best possible elements, as well as many tracks from the score and even outtakes. The entire album features stereophonic sound for the first time.
Any M-G-M musical fan should not miss this unique collection of memorable music from one of Hollywood's best movie musicals.

Another good album from the M-G-M musicals is Brigadoon, the Gene Kelly, Cyd Charisse movie about a mythical village that only appears every 100 years. The songs are very cutesy, but I'm not too keen on the corny Scottish accents.

The sound quality is excellent, presented entirely in stereophonic unlike many other film soundtracks.
The set also includes sleeve notes on the picture with black and white behind the scenes photographs.

A charming soundtrack from the heyday of the Musical Picture.
