Nanny: "Lowe Exposed Himself"

Actor Rob Lowe has been accused of sexual harassment by his former nanny, who claims he exposed himself and touched her in an inappropriate manner. Jessica Gibson, 24, worked for Lowe and his wife Sheryl over a seven-year period, and claims in an 18-page lawsuit filed in a California court on Monday Lowe "placed his hand inside Gibson's pants in order to touch her crotch" and "grabbed Gibson's buttocks without consent" several times between September 2005 to January 2008. Last week the Brothers And Sisters star claimed his ex-nanny demanded he and his wife Sheryl pay her $1.5 million by April 11, or she would go to the press with allegations of harassment. Lowe subsequently went public with the alleged extortion, calling it "an attempt to damage and humiliate not only my wife and me, but our two young sons as well." Gibson has also made harassment claims against Sheryl, alleging the 46-year-old would walk around naked, make vulgar comments and discuss her sex life with Lowe, reports People.com. But in a statement released on Tuesday, Lowe's attorney Stanton 'Larry' Stein insisted Gibson's allegations are unfounded. He said, "Ms. Gibson's older sister worked for the Lowes for seven years. Ms. Gibson worked for the Lowes on and off for seven years. She left at least two times, to pursue other jobs, and returned each time asking for more hours. She sent two emails the day after she left, both saying she loved the Lowes and her leaving had nothing to do with them but her heart wasn't into being a nanny anymore. This is totally inconsistent with her latest allegations. An investigation of dozens of present and former employees has failed to find one single person to verify her allegations. The allegations in the complaint are simply untrue." Gibson's attorney Gloria Allred responded, "We don't think so," with Gibson insisting she only returned to work because "I love the children. I needed the job. I thought it would get better, and I was scared." Gibson quit her role as Lowe's nanny on February 24.
Prosecutors Recommend Snipes Serves Three Years For Tax Evasion

Hollywood star Wesley Snipes will serve three years behind bars and fined $5 million for tax evasion charges, if U.S. prosecutors get their way. The Blade actor was convicted of failing to file his taxes for five years in February, and now prosecutors want a Florida judge to make an example of the star - by handing him the maximum sentence possible as punishment for showing a "brazen defiance" of American tax legislation. In legal papers filed in a Florida court on Monday, U.S. Attorney Robert O'Neill says, "This case cries out for the statutory maximum term of imprisonment, as well as a substantial fine, because of the seriousness of defendant Snipes' crimes and because of the singular opportunity this case presents to deter tax crime nationwide." While Snipes was found guilty of not filing his tax returns, he was acquitted of the more serious charges of tax fraud and filing a false claim, as well as three misdemeanor counts of willful failure to file a tax return with the Internal Revenue Service . Snipes has yet to comment on the prosecutors' recommendation. He is due to be sentenced on April 24.
Judge Orders Cusack Stalker To Stand Trial

A Los Angeles judge has ordered a woman charged with stalking Hollywood actor John Cusack to stand trial. Emily Leatherman was arrested outside the actor's Malibu home in March and charged with stalking the High Fidelity star, as well as petty theft and violating a restraining order in connection to a previous arrest. The 33-year-old was held on $500,000 bail following an arraignment hearing earlier this month. If Leatherman is found guilty on one count of felony stalking, she faces up to three years in prison, according to Los Angeles' District Attorney's office. In court, she will also face one misdemeanor charge of failing to obey a restraining order and one of petty theft, with each of these charges carrying a maximum sentence of six months imprisonment. In 2006, Cusack was granted a temporary restraining order stipulating Leatherman must stay at least 500 feet away from him, his home, his work, his car and offices or companies in which he does business. Leatherman was also arrested last year outside the Beverly Hills, California, home of actor Tom Cruise, also on suspicion of violating a restraining order.
Maguire Denies Daddy Rumors

Reports suggesting Spider-Man star Tobey Maguire is set to become a dad again have been denied by the actor's publicist. America's In Touch magazine claimed the scoop as a "world exclusive" on Tuesday, but Maguire's aides have been quick to slam rumors that his wife Jennifer Meyer is expecting the couple's second child later this year. A representative states, "This is 100 percent false." But an insider has told In Touch the Maguires always planned to have another child within two years of the birth of their daughter, Ruby, who is now 17 months old - and the couple is "over-the-moon happy" with the baby news. The friend adds, "Jen's doing great. She had an easy pregnancy last time around, so this time it should also be a breeze... They want at least three kids." Meyer and Maguire wed last year.
Hanks, Wilson & Vardalos Fight On For 'Wedding' Cash
Tom Hanks, his wife Rita Wilson and Nia Vardalos, the star of their hit My Big Fat Greek Wedding production, are set to go to trial to fight for money they claim they're owed. The trio co-produced the 2002 movie and maintain their co-financiers at Gold Circle Films still owe them a share of the profits. The ongoing lawsuit was referred to mediation on Monday and Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Yvette Palazuelos set a court date for January 20 just in case the trio's mediation battle fails.
Ex-Scientoligist Beghe Denounces The Religion

TV star Jason Beghe has slammed the controversial Church of Scientology, branding his former religion "destructive" and "dangerous." The actor, who has appeared in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Criminal Minds, began taking courses in Scientology in 1994, and even appeared in promotional footage for the religion in 2005. Beghe was considered a 'top Scientologist' or 'OT5', a rank similar to Tom Cruise and John Travolta's standing in the church, but has now released footage on video-sharing website YouTube.com denouncing the controversial faith. According to FoxNews.com reporter Roger Friedman, the video is a three minute trailer for a forthcoming in-depth interview. In the footage, Beghe says, "Scientology is destructive and a rip-off. It's very, very dangerous for your spiritual, psychological, mental, emotional health and evolution. I think it stunts your evolution. If Scientology is real, then something's f**ked up. It ain't (sic) deliverin' what it's promised. It sure has not." Beghe insists he has recorded the footage to help those who are influenced by the religion. He adds, "I don't have an agenda. I'm just trying to help. I have the luxury of having gotten into Scientology and after having been in it, been out. And that's a perspective that people who are still in and not out do not have."
Nixon Remembers Silent Battle With Breast Cancer

Actress Cynthia Nixon survived her battle with breast cancer by turning away from the limelight of Hollywood, choosing instead to cope with the disease in silence. The Sex And The City star was starring in New York play Rabbit Hole when she was diagnosed in 2006, and chose to completely focus her attentions on the project - even scheduling her surgery for Sundays, so she wouldn't miss a single performance during her show's run. She recalls, "I didn't want to make it public while I was going through it. I didn't want paparazzi at the hospital." And Nixon insists she wasn't surprised when she discovered she had cancer, because her own mother suffered from the disease when the actress was just 12 years old. She admits, "I always sort of thought I was going to get breast cancer. (That) there's a really good chance." Nixon, who credits her longtime partner Christine Marioni and her two young children with helping her through the traumatic experience, now serves as a spokesperson for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation, encouraging women to get tested and treat the disease while it's still in its early stages.
Simpson Flashes Her Ring, But Plays Down Baby Talk On TV
Ashlee Simpson refused to answer pregnancy questions during a taping of MTV show Total Request Live on Tuesday, but urged fans not to believe everything they read. Internet reports on Monday suggested the newly-engaged singer was expecting fiance Pete Wentz's child. Wentz has already denied the rumors, but Simpson wouldn't even address them during the taping of a performance on TRL in New York. She reportedly dodged the pregnancy question, according to a source, stating only that if all the rumors about her were true, she "would have had a baby by now." But she happily showed off her new diamond engagement ring during her first public appearance since announcing her plans to wed the Fall Out Boy rocker. The show, which will feature Simpson performing her new song, "Little Miss Obsessive," will air on Thursday in America.
Business Manager Charged With Embezzling From Heston

A business manager has been charged with stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from late Hollywood actor Charlton Heston and famed TV producer Stephen J. Cannell. Sharon Walker was arrested on Monday in California and charged with two counts of grand theft by embezzlement, three counts of forgery and five counts of filing false tax returns. The 56-year-old, who worked for a business management company, allegedly swindled more than $157,000 from Heston, who died last week, and over $567,000 from Cannell, creator of hit TV shows including The Rockford Files and The A-Team. Los Angeles District Attorney's office released a statement accusing Walker of forging signatures to pay off her credit card debt. She faces up to 11 years in prison if convicted of all charges.
