J.J. Abrams Shopping TV Space Drama Script (Exclusive)
J.J. Abrams, currently immersed in the Star Wars feature film universe, is plotting his return to TV writing.

The prolific writer, producer and director is shopping a space-set spec script that, should it go to series, would be the first show he wrote and created since Fringe in 2008. Sources say Apple and HBO — where Abrams serves as an Ep on Westworld — are both in the running for the untitled drama, with producers Warner Bros. Television also open to additional bidders as the project is still being shopped. Warners, Apple and HBO all declined comment.

‘The Walking Dead’ Star Chandler Riggs Insists ‘Carl Wasn’t Being Forgotten’
Of all the deaths we’ve been through on “The Walking Dead,” the death of Carl Grimes just might hit the hardest — especially because of the cliffhanger way the audience found out about his fate. Actor Chandler Riggs, who plays the one-eyed son of the show’s main character, Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), is happy with the legacy his character is leaving behind, though. “It’s really cool knowing that my character still has a legacy that was left behind,” Riggs said in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly. “Carl wasn’t being forgotten. He might be gone, but he’s leaving behind something that’s...

Disney’s Animated Marvel TV Shows May Be Coming To An End

Disney seems to be in the mood as now it seems like the animated Marvel TV shows could be coming to an end. It hasn’t been said why but with the Avengers: Infinity War coming up soon it might be that they think a new look could be needed or it could be that the shows just haven’t been performing as they’ve wanted. There are a number of reasons why this could be but in all likelihood it seems more that they are simply experiencing a shift in interest that might take them down a new path that won’t be

The Real Reason Bruce Lee Came Back to the United States at Age 18

The real reason that Bruce Lee came back to the United States when he was 18 was that he essentially beat up the wrong person. A lot of people want to think of Lee as the wise and venerated fighter that knew when to throw a punch and when to just walk away. That might have been who he became but when he was younger he didn’t hesitate to fight. In fact the reason he was sent back to the Us was because of his street fighting, which was frowned upon then just as it is now. A police officer

The Game Of Thrones Theme Performed On Musical Calculators

Game of Thrones has to be one of the more complicated tunes I’ve heard played on these kind of calculators yet. I still have yet to find any of these calculators though I’m certain that Amazon must have them somewhere. For some reason it keeps pulling up graphing calculators and I’ve seen enough of those from my days in Calculus to last me a lifetime. But in many ways this is almost like playing a strange kind of keyboard since it requires all four of them honestly to really get the full feel of the intro to one of the

Terry Crews Briefly Made more Money with Art Than His Job with the NFL

It might seem hard to believe but you’ll get the idea why it’s possible that Terry Crews made more money with his art than he did in the NFL. You look at Crews and you might think that after ending his NFL career in ’97 he’d be primed to go into action movies without fail. But to be honest there wasn’t much of a rush since he wasn’t broke and might have wanted to take things slow. As it turns out though Crews is just as good off the field as he was on, perhaps even better since through his

A Stunning Visual Compilation of the Work of Denis Villeneuve

The compilation of Denis Villeneuve’s works is nothing short of stunning, though it’s darkness and foreboding promise little more than chaos in the slow, measured beats that continually push forth even when it seems that something must eventually give way to the light and to a more orderly approach. There’s a great deal of cynicism in the works of this director, and something that is elusive but still capable of being noticed since it is in your face and does not try to hide. The shadows in which the main points reside however and the darkness from which they come

The Real Life Maui from Moana is Spotted at Costco

It might seem like profiling or at the very least an offensive stereotype but at least the guy that looks like the real life Maui from Moana had a good sense of humor about it. When a mother and her two daughter spotted a Polynesian man that bore an insanely strong resemblance to the animated character from Moana it was perhaps one of the best days of the girls’ lives, especially when he uttered Maui’s well-known cry of “Chee-hoo!”. I get the feeling this guy gets this a lot since he does look like the character and does have the

Eminem Once Spent 10 Days in a Coma Due to Bullying

You wouldn’t think it looking at and listening to him, but rapper Eminem once spent 10 days in a coma due to an act of bullying. Marshall didn’t have an easy life growing up. First his father split and then he and his mother moved around a lot, to better themselves as she would claim, but also to the detriment of Marshall since so many moves in so little of a time can have a seriously detrimental effect on a child’s upbringing. There’s a very real reason why Marshall felt that the world couldn’t be trusted, but eventually he came

The Five Funniest Movie Scenes Starring Channing Tatum

Channing Tatum is known more for his action sequences than his comedic performance but he does both fairly well. It was kind of hard to find a lot of his funny moments but there are just enough of them to include in a list that might be worthy of being called his funniest movie scenes. He’s done a fair amount in his career thus far and is only getting better with age it seems. There are a few movies he’s been in that probably shouldn’t be granted another installment but were at the very least entertaining when they came out.

If only the Pearson family had watched a little more Sesame Street!

Children of the ’80s who spent enough time with the PBS broadcast will remember an animated short that emphasized repetition in order to jog memory. (Say it with me now: “A loaf of bread, a container of milk, and a stick of butter.”) And while this week’s This Is Us wouldn’t have been very compelling had Jack and Rebecca uttered no other dialogue outside of “a suit for Kev, a dress for Kate,

Rushed to trial with Cecile (taking leave from the Da’s office, which I guess you can do) defending him, Barry was frankly steamrolled by prosecutor Anton Slater, all based on the evidence and opportunity we presumed going in. Restraining order. Harassment. Knife. DNA.

Motive? Pfft.

Even worse, we never saw Cecile stage any kind of defense — probably because no one thinks we want a superhero court trial longer than an episode,
