I'm planning on transferring next fall. I live around Boston and have been accepted to a few schools. The first is Savannah College of Art in Design (GA). And then two state schools (Umass Amherst, Fitchburg State). There's about a $20,000 difference a year between the schools. So my question is do you think $40,000 dollars is worth going to a Art school? I'm not sure what I want to do, but hoping that I will find out soon. I very much like working and don't like the school aspect. I'm good at self-learning and learning on the job, so the only big advantage probably would be networking and more job opportunities when I get out (perhaps better paying ones).
So again, $40,000 bucks worth networking, direction, and getting a better job? Or should I go with a state school (either communication major or film production) and find my own way that way?
Thanks
